It’s very supporting to know how many strong, talented people are in the same boat AND are positive/optimistic about it. The energy of the meeting is an emotional boost. The leadership team determined/positive attitude is encouraging, and the discipline of getting my energy up to match hers is good for me. The face-to-face contacts and the extended network I have developed through the table exchanges. The friends I have made through volunteering. One job and several good referrals by people I MET AT THE MEETING. Information about the events, workshops, initiatives, activities that I would otherwise not get. Feeling that I am part of something positive and effective, and the opportunity to become involved with career-building activities (CMGs). My being visible at the meeting keeps me in other people’s minds when leads turn up.
